IVssBackupComponentsBeginQueryRevertStatus Method

The BeginQueryRevertStatus(String, AsyncCallback, Object) method begins an asynchronous operation to determine the status of the revert operation. The returned IVssAsyncResult can be used to determine the outcome of the operation.

Parameters

volumeName
Type: SystemString
Name of the volume. The name of the volume to be checked must be in one of the following formats:
  • The path of a volume mount point with a backslash (\)
  • A drive letter with backslash (\), for example, D:\
  • A unique volume name of the form \\?\Volume{GUID}\ (where GUID is the unique global identifier of the volume) with a backslash (\)
userCallback
Type: SystemAsyncCallback
An optional asynchronous callback, to be called when the operation is complete.
state
Type: SystemObject
A user-provided object that distinguishes this particular asynchronous read request from other requests.

Return Value

Type: IVssAsyncResult
An IVssAsyncResult instance that represents this asynchronous operation.

Return Value

Type: IVssAsyncResult
An IVssAsyncResult instance that can be used to determine the status of the revert operation.
Remarks
The revert operation will continue even if the computer is rebooted, and cannot be canceled or undone, except by restoring a backup created using another method.
